A Punch and Judy Show

Look, the children are sitting on the beach in front of
a little tent. The tent is a puppet theatre and there is
Mr Punch with his funny nose and humped back, Judy
his wife, their baby and their dog. Punch has a big stick
and sometimes he hits his wife and sometimes he throws
the baby on its head. He is a bad husband and father.

The policeman comes to arrest him but Punch hits him
over the head. The children laugh and cheer. The police-
man is dead and the executioner coms to chop Punch´s
head off. A little girl starts to cry. She does not like the
man in the black mask with the axe in his hand. But, of
course, Punch wins in the end and beats all his enemies.

1.To spill or splash (a liquid) copiously or clumsily: slosh paint on the floor. 2. To agitate (rühren,vermischen) in a liquid: slosh clothes in a solution of bleach(Bleichebad) and detergent(Reinignungsmittel, Waschmittel)

Die Inflation wird in bis heute nicht geahnte Dimensionen ansteigen. Und zum Auslöser der gigantischsten Schulden-Epidemie werden, die es je gegeben hat. Deshalb hat die US-Zentralbank wohl auch am 23.03.06 beschlossen, diese Geldmenge nicht mehr zu veröffentlichen." (Dr.Weiss)

If you gauge something, you guess or estimate it.

Examples

People are better able to gauge what is good for their health than in the past.
I can't really gauge how much money our department will need next year.
It's not always easy to gauge when the best time is to put winter tires on your car.

Examples
