"Here is some additional detail surrounding the new multi-currency bank accounts that will hopefully clarify some of the questions in the forum posting quoted in your message.

The intent of these new bank accounts is to allow for a faster and more reliable execution of fund transfers for OANDA's multi-currency accounts. Although some clients encountered difficulty with the new instructions, in general, the turn around time for receiving & processing of multi-currency wires has been decreased considerably.

Here's how these accounts work:
Although the final beneficiary accounts are located in London, the way the accounts are setup is to allow customers to send wires to a domestic correspondent bank instead of an international bank. For example, CHF transfers are sent to UBS Bank in Zurich first, while GBP transfers are sent directly to JP Morgan in London.

Here's an example that may help clarify this process: in order for OANDA to receive a CHF wire, the sender will instruct their bank to remit funds to UBS Bank, Zurich, for credit to JPMorgan Chase London, for further credit to OANDA Corporation - providing OANDA's IBAN. Once UBS will receive the funds from the sending bank, they will credit JPMorgan Chase London's account. Once JPMorgan Chase London receives the funds, they credit OANDA's account (using the provided IBAN).

Some clients are experiencing difficulty when completing a transfer of funds from their online bank using OANDA's IBAN without including the intermediary bank information. The IBAN applies to the final beneficiary's account, and specifies in one single string of digits, the country, city, bank, currency and account number. In this case, it belongs to OANDA's accounts at JPMorgan London.

To summarize, both OANDA & JPMorgan Chase recommends that all multi-currency wires be sent to the correspondent bank first, with JP Morgan London as the beneficiary bank, for further credit to OANDA's account. Direct submission of funds to the account at JPMorgan London may be possible, but is not the recommended."
